Answer: The Bible is life’s “owner’s manual.” It helps explain how everything works. If you can believe that there is a Creator, it is easy enough to believe that this Creator has given us an Instruction Manual to show us how best to live our lives.

The Bible is surely the most influential book ever written. It has been translated into more languages than any other piece of literature. Billions of people alive today embrace all or part of its teachings. Many surveys have found the Bible to be the best-selling book of all time; according to a Guinness World Records estimate there have been at least 5 billion Bibles sold!

How many books were lost forever when the Library at Alexandria burned to the ground? How many treatises from ancient Babylon, Egypt, Greece and Rome have been lost to us forever?  Even some of the most famous works that survive from ancient literature are known to us today through only a handful of ancient manuscripts.   The Bible has been preserved for us today like no other book in the history of the world!

So, what makes this book so special? Why would a loving Creator God care to be sure it was preserved for us? The book itself gives us an answer: it is because God has a Plan for His creation. He wants each of us to have a relationship with Him, and ultimately to become part of His Family. The great Creator God of the universe is reproducing Himself—and you and I, if we follow the teachings of the Bible, can become actual members of the God Family at the resurrection!

But even for those who learn and apply only part of the Bible’s teachings, there are huge benefits. The Bible’s concepts of law and justice have influenced Western civilization like no other book. Those nations that obey God’s law have been blessed, objectively, over nations that follow their own man-made laws apart from the Bible.

So, it should be no surprise that there are many, like the people behind this Web site, who can tell you from their own lives that the Bible is a book that gives a unique vision and a clear path to those who live by its teachings. Whether it is by understanding the many prophecies within its pages, or by practicing the virtues it teaches, the Bible is a tool for success and happiness for all who embrace it.

Sadly, most people—even those who own a Bible or two—never really study the teachings of Scripture. They go through life assuming they know what the Bible says. As a result, they miss out on most of its blessings. But you don’t have to do that. You can explore this Web site, and read your Bible for yourself. As you do so, you’ll be surprised:  “The Bible says THAT?” But your life will be changed for the better as you embark on this adventure.
