Answer: In order for Christ's own words to be true, He could not have died on Good Friday and risen on Sunday morning. What did Jesus say about how long He would be in the grave? In Matthew 12:40 we read, "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

The above Sunday resurrection timeline is interesting to look at, because it clearly shows that there are NOT three days and the nights in this scenario. Yet although the above timeline is biblically accurate—and you can prove it for yourself—it sure flies in the face of what most people celebrate and believe.
